As Israel enters its second week of war with Iran, daily life has been deeply disrupted for families across the country. Schools are closed. Fathers have been called into military service, many with no expected return date. Mothers are left to manage everything on their own while trying to keep their children calm, safe, and occupied.

At Smiles for the Kids, we are returning to how we started. We are stepping up to provide comfort, distraction, and moments of joy for children during this very difficult time.

First Deliveries Are Already Underway

We are grateful to report that the first care packages were delivered today. These included toys and treats designed to lift spirits and provide activities to help children stay busy. Bounce houses are on their way to more families to give children a few precious hours of fun and release. We also placed two cupcake deliveries, with more scheduled to go out this week.

Preparing for the Days Ahead

Smiles for the Kids is currently stocking up on more toys, games, treats, and crafts. Volunteers will be arriving throughout the week to help pack and distribute these items to families with fathers at the front lines. The mothers caring for their children at home are under tremendous pressure and need any help they can get.

The calls and messages we are receiving are non-stop. The need is great and growing by the hour. We are doing everything we can to keep up and reach as many families as possible.
