Mevo Horon is a community in the center of Israel that we have “adopted” since the beginning of the war. This community has a 90% enlistment rate among the husbands which means many of the wives have been handling their families alone for more than a year and a half with sporadic visits from their husband’s throughout.
We have loved bringing smiles to this incredible army community since Oct. 7.
These families have sacrificed so much. One mom with nine children including a new born and has only seen her husband a few times since the war started told us the best days are when we can come and help let their kids be kids and enjoy.
Our event featured games and activities from Out of the Box, an Israeli activity and team building company based in Israel, whose founder, Aron, spent over 300 days in the war. We have worked with him and his wife for many events to help them maintain their business over the last year.
We also had popcorn, cotton candy, carnival games and bounce houses to keep both the kids, and volunteers, busy.

We are so thankful to our donors who came all the way from Chicago to show their thanks by donating and volunteering for this fun carnival that give these families a much needed break and smiles.

Thank you to a Ariella a Bat Mitzvah girl from Modiin who packed prize bags at her party and donated them to us for our donors to give out to the kids at this event!
As you can see from the pictures it was a wonderful event!
